Shopping in Jeffreys Bay is as big an attraction as surfing. All the big brands have factory outlets that offer hours of digging to find that special buy. Prices are reasonable and some stores even give discounts to 99 Mile guests.

The stores in Jeffreys Bay are close to each other and close to the lodge. Its easiest to start browsing in the shops first, and then move to the main stores in the town centre.

Jeffreys Bay is also famous for surfboard shaping. Most surf shops have boards on sale, but surfers can also have a board custom shaped. There is one street full of shapers, who will show you how they craft surf boards even if you’re not buying.

Eating out

Take a break from the shopping in one of the coffee shop. You can also sample J-Bay's white gold – the calamari that is the best you’ll taste in the country.
